She was predeceased by: her grandparent Pearl Juart. She is survived by: her parents, Rodger Pahel and Tammy J. Pahel (Binion); her grandparents, William Binion and Karen Binion; and her uncles, Ronald Binion (Angela), Thomas Binion (Lynn Alverson) and Tina Marie Benzing (John Ferguson). She is also survived by numerous other cousins and relatives.
Valerie donated the gift of life through eye and tissue donation.
