He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Johnson and Edith Johnson (Mathews); his former wife Sandra Jean Godney; his wife Joyce; and his daughter Andrea Neely.

He is survived by: his children, Kristi Johnson, Bradley Johnson, Jeannie Johnson, Peter Kasner (Diane) and Sonny Kasner (Michelle); and his sister Cletabell. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
