He was predeceased by: his brothers, Tom Walters and Robert Walters. He is survived by: his parents, Russell Walters and Alta Walters (McKenzie); his wife Georgeanne T. Petak; his children, Jerry A. Walters (Christine) of Mineral Ridge, John Walters (Leanne Barbee) of Newark, OH and Janine Louise Carman (David) of Proctor; his grandchildren, Jacklyn, Jarrett, Elianna, Kodi, Aili and Kaden; his great grandchild Rowen; and his brother Jack Walters (Ruth) of Warren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley or Niles Community Services in Melvin's name.
