He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James I. Pittman and Lena M. "Sue" Pittman (Arnette); his wife Margaret "Margie"; his children, Rachel Lawler (Richard) and Dan Pittman (Krista); his grandchildren, Richie Lawler, Katie Bengtson (Anders) and Anna Pittman; and his siblings, Jim, John, Jeff, Janice, Janeen and JoAnn. He was also cherished by other relatives, and friends.
