He is survived by: his close friend Janet Kling; his daughter Rebecca Killin (Bill); his grandchildren, Seairra Porterfield (Carin Custer) and Joshua Porterfield; and his siblings, Elmer "Ray" Hanshaw, Donald Hanshaw (Pearl), Judy Hanshaw, Debbie Hanshaw and Edith Waggoner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
