She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Arthur R. Farmer, Sr. and Lydia M. Farmer. She was also cherished by her husband of 52 years, her children, grandchildren, siblings and friends.

She served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Tuscarawas County, and she was a frequent speaker for the American Cancer Society and other civic organizations.
