He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Nelson and JoAnne Nelson (Ohler); his mother-in-law Mildred Alsept; and his nephews, Jason Ohler and Takota Alsept.
He is survived by: his wife Shari L. (Alsept); his daughters, Dr. Amber Sanatore (TJ) of New Cumberland, Ashli Nelson (Cory Shoaf) of Massillon, Katie Beitzel of Bolivar and Elizabeth Nelson (Brian Breining) of Bolivar; his son-in-law Corey Beitzel of Bolivar; his grandsons, Noah Sanatore, Sam Sanatore, Mason Beitzel and Brody Beitzel; his siblings, Richard Ohler (Ruth) of Mineral City, Guy Nelson (Val) of Mineral City, Chris Nelson of Mineral City and Kathy Helwig of Bolivar; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Alsept (Carol) of Bolivar, David Alsept (Tammy) of Canton, Tim Alsept (Vicesaha) of Florida, Sue Kahler (Tom) of Bolivar and Tina Levengood of Bolivar.
