He was predeceased by: his parents, Evert Hilty and Mabel Hilty (Brillhart); his wife Gertrude Brinkman Hilty; his brother Robert; and his son Randy.
He is survived by: his sister Jean Sickles; his nephew Eric Hilty (Rhonda); his niece Heidi Neininger (John); his son Lowell; and his close friend Donna Sullivan. He is also survived by five grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
