He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nelson and Mary Nelson (Thompson). He is survived by: his wife Joan Nelson (Carroll); his children, Marie Griffin (Bruce) of Panama City, Kermit Nelson Jr. (Theresa) of New Port Richey and Tabatha Menapace (Jason) of New Philadelphia; his siblings, Geanean Widden of Lakeland and Kenneth Nelson of Whitter; his grandchildren, Mark, Michelle, Eddie, Andrew, Hannah, Samantha, Emma and Nathan; and his great grandchildren, Ace, Nolan, Olivia, McKenzie and Isabella. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
