He was predeceased by: his parents, George J. and Ann Cooney, Sr. (Chorey); his wife Sheryl Cooney; and his sister Mona Jean Cooney. He is survived by: his children, Sherri Ixos (Harold), Mona Essig (Jeffrey), Ann Ellington (Ben) and Michael Cooney (Lisa); and his sister Betty Ryba. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
