He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Phillips and Helen G. Phillips (Gibson); his wife Betty Irene Phillips (Detling); his grandsons, Brian Robert Parkinson and John Timothy Parkinson, II; and his son-in-law Tim Parkinson.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Jay Phillips (Kay), Marcia Parkinson and David Eric Phillips; and his grandchildren, Eric Phillips (Diane), Tom Phillips (Julie), Brent Phillips (Angie), Laura Ann Parkinson, Kristin Fahey (David) and Heather Nichole Phillips-Michael. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
