He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Nichols (Canfield) and Lester Nichols; and his brother Ronnie. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his pet Misty; his sons, John Nichols (Sarah) of Millfield, Tom Nichols (Mary Tillman) of Toledo and Terry Nichols (Amy) of Georgetown, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Melissa Bostater (Craig), Melinda Nichols, Travis Nichols (Nikki), Monica Humphrey (Mark Patton), Charles Humphrey III, Kyle Nichols, Nicole Magsino (Ricci), Derek Nichols (Ashley), Max Nichols, Megan Nichols and Bryan Nichols (Mary); and his cousin Cheryl Nolan (John). He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, many in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and many friends.
To keep with Jack's giving nature, the family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
