It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther E. McClain of Millfield, Ohio, who passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Smith and Dorothy Stowers Smith; her husbands, Melvin Green, James Kisor and Les McClain; her stepson Jim Kisor; and her siblings, Charles Smith, Herman Smith, Jimmy Smith, Helen Sycks and Donna Sams.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Green (Tami) and John Green (Annie); her stepson Rusty Kisor (Lisa); her grandchildren, Amy Roberts, Richard Green, Andrew Green, Kendra Green, Brandi Kisor, Luke Kisor and Jimmy Kisor; her great grandchildren, Justin, Michael, Ziah, Jimmy and Avina; and her siblings, Shirley Brown, Judy Davis (Dwight), Linda Toole and Frank Smith (Emily). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hughes Funeral Home (168 Morris Ave, Athens, OH 45701). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
