He was predeceased by: his daughter Kodi McDonald; his father James R. "Jim" McDonald; and his brother-in-law Scott Cordle. He is survived by: his significant other Mary J. Hampson; his daughter Tyra McDonald of Millersport; his mother Jean McDonald of Millersport; his sisters, Vickie McDonald Millersport, Rhonda Rawlins of North Carolina and Tiffany Cordle of Pickerington; his nieces and nephews, Kelli Jean, Jessica, Dani and Kerry; and his pet Bentley.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Maple Grove United Brethren Church in Christ (9880 Lancaster-Newark Rd NE, Baltimore, OH 43105). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
