He was predeceased by: his parents, John Snyder and Violetta Snyder (Hawkins); his wife Mosella Wengerd; his siblings, Mary Jane Bunting, John Jr., Darwin "Darb" and Winston Snyder; his children, Victor Snyder Jr. and Victoria Borgerding; and his grandson Chad Gray.

He is survived by: his sons, Dwight R. Snyder of Dublin, Eric Snyder (Pennie) of Shreve, Brent Snyder (Barb) of Killbuck and Craig Snyder of Millersburg; his son-in-law Tom Borgerding of Westerville; his grandchildren, Alyson Helwagen, Andrew Borgerding (Heather), Alexander Borgerding (Dalia Gomez), Ann Goldfarb (Jess), Jason E. Snyder (Stacy), Emily E. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
