Randall David Clinage Obituary
Randall David Clinage, age 68, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022 at LifeCare Hospice, Wooster, Ohio following an extended illness.
Military rites and burial will take place 1:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan 5, 2023 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Randy was the biological son of Howard and Mildred Caskey but was later adopted by Warren and Bernice Clinage. He was born July 2, 1954 in Orrville, Ohio. Randy moved to Paint Valley where he lived his whole life. He was a 1972 graduate of West Holmes High School, where he played and lettered in varsity football, varsity basketball and track all 4 years of his high school career. Randy enlisted in the Marine Corps. in 1976. His rank was. Special Forces Recon in Vietnam as a Rifleman where he received a Rifle Sharp-Shooter badge with honorable character of service in 1978. He took pride in serving for his country. Randy worked for Close Trucking and Loder Farms for a few years and then for Clinage Lumber and Trucking Company for most of his life. Randy enjoyed Spending time at home in his garage tinkering on anything with a diesel engine especially if it was a dodge and had the possibility of building more boost & extra horsepower. He loved rebuilding McCulloch Chainsaws, collecting guns and going Trap-Shooting.
On July 26, 1980 he married his high school sweetheart Sherry Lynn Steele, she passed away November 6, 2016.
He is survived by his children: daughter, Tara (Damien) Larimore, son, Randy "Bubba" Clinage, and daughter, Bobbi Amos-Camacho; three grandchildren who he loved deeply: Pacee Lynn Miller, Ashton Lee Raber and Silas Wayne Larimore; brother, Dave (Wendy) Caskey; sisters: Terri (Jay) Frazer, Nancy (Shag) Schlabach; favorite nephew, Jake (Amanda) Caskey; a very special mother-in-law, Irene Steele; a brother-in-law, Chuck Steele; special Trap-Shooting buddy, Dave kitchen; and his loyal 100 lb lap companion, Duke.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sherry Lynn Clinage; his biological parents, Howard and Mildred Caskey; adoptive parents, Warren and Bernice Clinage; and his father-in-law, Charles Steele.
