He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvis Akers and Dixie Akers (Rogers); his siblings, Betty Justice and Alvis "Buck" Akers Jr.; and his granddaughters, Micala Akers and Taylor Ormesher.
He is survived by: his children, Ralph Jr. Akers (Punkie) of Killbuck and Dixie Benard (Rick) of Millersburg; his grandson Hunter Akers of Killbuck; his great grandchild Phinehas Ormesher; and his siblings, William "Bill" Akers of Peebles, Mary Howell of Shreve, Frank Akers of West Salem, Carol Rose of Wooster, Marcella Akers of Shreve, Virginia Woosley of Kentucky, John Akers of Wooster, Sharon Duncan of Danville and Ruth Bartram of Orrville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alexander Funeral Home, Inc. (8612 OH-39, Millersburg, OH 44654).
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alexander Funeral Home to help defray costs.
