He is survived by: his wife Cindy McDowell; his children, Mike McDowell (Tracy), Eric McDowell (Penny) and Melinda Newman (Steve); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Clay, Braden, Andy and Alex; his great grandchildren, Finn, Tad and Emma; and his sister Beverly Wachtel (Bill).
