She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Ann and George Whetsell; her husband William H Patten Jr.; and her son William H Patten III. She is survived by: her daughter Kimberly Mathie (Larry McColl); her grandchildren, William Patten IV (Joy), Maynard Patten (Jessica), Danielle Mathie (Andrew Hawkins), Brittany Bloomfield (Brian), Zachary Mathie (Lauren) and Paige Garcia (Ozzy); her great grandchildren, Chloe, Billy V, Hunter, Maya, Blake, Jocelyn, Elaina, Carson, Londyn, Hayes, Rayanna and Barrett; and her brother David Whetsell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Holmes County Education Foundation, Patten Family Memorial Scholarship (formerly the William H Patten Memorial Scholarship) c/o the Holmes County Education Foundation or bring to Alexander Funeral Home a school backpack filled with school supplies to be donated to local students in need.
