He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Mathie and Ethel Mathie (Donald); his wife Betty Snyder; and his sisters, Mary Lou Mathie and Jean Grenert.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Mathie (Tara Conner), John Mathie (Katrina), Marty Grice (Gary) and Linda Campbell (Adam); his grandchildren, Joel Mathie (Jezebel), Danielle Hawkins (Andrew), Rachel Alexander (Jake), Brittany Bloomfield (Brian), Jarret Mathie (Tricia), Zac Mathie (Lauren), Douglas Moore (Bry Galford), Lexi Roush (Nick) and Drew Campbell (Joy); his great grandchildren, Jennavieve, Jiavanna, Blake, Jocelyn, Elaina, Carson, Kale, Gavin, Londyn, Hayes, Rowand, Graham, Rayanna, Barrett, Gunner, Teddy, Arthur, Ezra, Zayden and Emerie; and his sister-in-law Shirley Snyder.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Alexander Funeral Home, Inc. (8612 OH-39, Millersburg, OH 44654). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
