He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Hipp and Ruth Hipp (Young); and his siblings, Gerald Hipp, Dorothy Lydic and Betty Jones.
He is survived by: his former wife Mary Esther Burkey; his children, Holli Lee (George) of Rapid City, SD, John D. Hipp (Pam) of Millersburg and Betsy Hall (Scott) of Greer, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Amy Schafer (Matt) of Urbandale, Scott Lee (Jaima) of Rapid City, SD, Megan Mackey (Nolan) of Holmes County, Terri Felton (Rickey) of Holmes County, John R. Hipp of Holmes County and Josh Hipp of Florida; his spouse Pat Buren; and his brother Delmar Hipp of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
