He is survived by: his parents, Roy and Melodie Cornwell Sr. (Singleton); his children, Samantha Adams (Brian) of Kentucky, John Halle (Cornwell Jr.) of Kentucky and Linsy Halle (Cornwell) of Kentucky; and his brothers, Roy Cornwell Jr. of Millersburg, Gene Cornwell of Millersburg and Michael Cornwell of Millersburg. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
