He was predeceased by: his father David V. Sampsel; and his brother Orval Ray Sturgeon. He is survived by: his mother Laura J. Miller; his siblings, Teresa D. Miller of Glenmont, Frank R. Miller of Millersburg, Clara Helen Strouse of Killbuck and George F. Sturgeon of Millersburg; and his stepsiblings, Michelle Sampsel of Coshocton and David Sampsel Jr. of Sugarcreek. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
