He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Palte and Marcella Palte (Drummelsmith); his wife Deloris M. Warnimont; his son Daniel "Boone" Palte; and his sister Sharon Pinney.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Palte of Glandorf, Douglas Palte (Deb Yant) of Miller City, Gregory Palte (Chris) of California, Michael Palte (Arin Zahler) of Miller City and Michele "Sis" Newman (Jeff) of Dublin; his grandchildren, Amy Palte (Doug Hoffman), Jacob Palte, Joseph Palte (Sahra), Stacey Johnson (Eliot), Sean Stevens (Lorisa), Justin Palte, Joshua Palte, Jessica Palte, Stephen Newman and Peterson Newman; his brothers, Kenneth Palte (Mary Jane) of New Cleveland and Larry Palte (Suzanne) of Michigan; and his brother-in-law Chuck Pinney (Barbara) of Lima. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
