She was predeceased by: her father John Deters; her spouse Lavon Leis; her son-in-law David Schmitz; her siblings, Harold Deters, Angela Westrick Schulte, Dolores Verhoff and Viola Maag; and her siblings-in-law, Alton Westrick, Wilfred Schulte, Ralph Verhoff, Omer Maag, Gerald Verhoff, John Siefker, Donald Niese, Catherine Deters, Dolores Siefker and Marvelle Niese.
She is survived by: her children, James Leis (Jan) of Miller City and Kathleen Schmitz of Glandorf; her grandchildren, John Leis (Skylar), Jessica Schierloh (Derrick), Jennifer Schroeder (Chad), Kelly Schmitz and Bradley Schmitz; her great grandchildren, Mack Schierloh, Lincoln Schroeder and Scarlett Leis; and her sister Roselia Verhoff of Ottawa.
