She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Mason and Daisy Idell Whitaker Mason; her daughter Cherie Wood Knight; and her brothers, John Mason, Richard Mason, Durwood Mason and Joe Mason, Jr..
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Arts and Browns; her husband Morris V. Wood of Gray; her children, Vernon Wood, Jr. (Debbie) of Milledgeville, Thomas E. Wood (Terri) of Gray, Ginny Davis of Milledgeville and Barbara Crutchfield of Gray; her siblings, Larry Mason of McIntyre, Harold Mason (Brenda) of Milledgeville and Annie Rachel Loyd of McIntyre; and her sister-in-law Jackie Mason of McIntyre. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
