He was predeceased by: his mother Zola Brooks (Laudermilk). He is survived by: his father John Brooks Jr.; his wife Dorothy Brooks (Hurt); his children, Shondia Schaefer (Mark) and Anthony Brooks (Carrie); his grandchildren, Baylee Anstaett (Brad), Nicholas Schaefer, Cameron Schaefer, Riley Brooks, Katie Brooks and Emma Schaefer; and his brother Roy Brooks (Joyce). He is also survived by many sister in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
