He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Stanley (Gray); his adoptive father Robert Lee Stanley; his father Richard Hogston (Don); his children, Gary Stanley and Cathy Stanley; and his siblings, Ronnie Stanley, Dana Hogston and Harlis Hogston.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy M. Stanley (Hughes); his children, Ricky Stanley, Robert Stanley (Maxine) and Tammy Bruce (Alan); and his grandchildren, Scott Frye, Brian Bray, Matthew Bray, Robert "Lee" Stanley II (Lara), Ryan Lay, Jonathan Stanley (Kelli), Brandy Stanley, Ashley Jamison (John), Andrew Lay (Jamie) and Megan Muth (Todd). He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations to be made in Don's memory to Pleasant Green Baptist Church Building Fund C/O Tim McNees 531 Bowman's Mill Rd., Berry, KY 41003.
