She was predeceased by: her spouse Frank G. Stephenson; her daughter Dorothy Gail Stephenson; her parents, Robert Stamper and Eliza Stamper; her siblings, Robert Stamper Jr, Walter R. Stamper, Stanley Stamper and Geraldine Tate; and her grandson Joshua Hankins.
She is survived by: her children, Allen J. Stephenson (Cheryl), Debra A. Hankins (Doug) and Carolyn L. Nutter (James); her grandchildren, Hollie Hankins and Thomas J. Stephenson; and her siblings, George Stamper, James Stamper, Edith Norris, Loretta Martin, Alfreda Tackett, Beverly Stapleton and Kathy Noel. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
Donations may be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society in honor of Bernice and in memory of Joshua Hankins.
