He was predeceased by: his father Christopher George; his wife Marilyn Edna Christine Hubmann; and his siblings, Ralph M. F., Emma Nicol of Pearl, M. J., Lucia Nicol, Marie, Louis Burns and Helen Scheiderer.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Hannah Theresa Nicol, Susanna Marilyn Nicol, Micah Lloyd Nicol, Aaron David Nemoyer, Nathan Michael Nemoyer, Joel Stephen Nemoyer, Christopher Han Niermann, Emily Christine Niermann, Kyle Stephen Niermann (Rachel Marie) and Rachel Marie Andrzejewski (Jakob Alexander); and his siblings-in-law, Eugene Scheiderer and Gladys McCabe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St John's Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta, OH; Redeemer Lutheran Church, Sidney, OH; or the LCMS Joint Seminary Fund, St. Louis, MO.
