He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis G. M. and Fredia Burns (Gugel); his stepmother Marie Burns; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Mildred Brust; his brother-in-law Richard Brust; and his grandparents, Mary, Carl Gugel, William and Augusta Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Burns; his children, Lisa Catron of Muncie, IN, Debra Fite of Milford Center, Kerri Rengert of Milford Center and Jeffery Burns (Laurel) of Delaware; his grandchildren, Kati Gill (Mike) of Columbus, Kara Vrabec (Curtis) of Fisher, IN, Seth Rengert of Fort Drum, NY, Sam Rengert of Ames, IA, Madison, Faith Burns of Delaware and Alyssa Powell of Delaware; his siblings, Jerry Burns (Ann) of Milford Center and Sue Dillahunt (Mark) of Marysville; and his sister-in-law Joan Kile of St. Simons Island, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
