He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo McCarthy and Laura Irene McCarthy (Sterbeck). He is survived by: his wife Karen M. McCarthy (Boos); his children, Kelly McCarthy of Norwalk, OH, Shannon Nevels (Richard) of Indiana and Shawn McCarthy (Elizabeth) of Washington, DC; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Lydia, Elizabeth, Anna Nevels, Fiona and Finn McCarthy; his sister Donna Hudson (Roger) of Douglasville; and his son-in-law Richard Nevels. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
