He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret "Sue" Honaker (Land); and his grandson Jeffrey "Ross" Harold South. He is survived by: his father Lanny Ross Honaker; his wife Kathryn Louise Honaker (Grimm); his brother Anthony Steven Honaker of Dayton, KY; and his daughters, Ashley Sheree Hoskins of Indianapolis, IN and Brooke Suzanne Honaker of Maineville, OH. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

He spent many years volunteering with the Anthony Muñoz Foundation and the Marvin Lewis Community Fund.
