With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Pallie B. Smith of Middletown, Ohio, born in Oxford, Alabama, who passed away on October 3, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gary Truss and Muriel Truss; her husband Bennie Smith; her daughter Ernestine Merchant; and her siblings, Eloise McGowan, Shelly Truss (Erma), LeAuthur Truss (Thelma) and Joseph Truss (Louise).
She is survived by: her siblings, Garie Frances Lunsford (Daniel), Harry Truss (Lois), LeRoy Truss and Charles Truss (Michelle); her children, Victor Merchant (Gloria), Kendall Merchant, Chris Merchant (Lisa) and Deneene Merchant; and her stepdaughter Vikki Smith (Jerome). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately called her Gran Gran along with a host of nieces, nephews.
