He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Hopkins and Mattie Hopkins (Sweeney); his wife Dorothy J. Hopkins (Vaughan); and his siblings, Joe, Pauline, Edna and Josie.
He is survived by: his children, Judith Ann Smith (Richard), Shari Brown (Bronson Sheek) and Randall Hopkins (Mindy). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, as well as numerous nieces, nephews.
