He was predeceased by: his wife Cindy Jackson; his parents, Joseph Kay and Charlotte Kay; and his siblings, JoAnn Kay, Joseph "Tweety" Kay, Jr. and Paul L. Kay.
He is survived by: his children, Latoya Scherrer of Cincinnati, OH and Gerald Walton (Diana) of San Diego, CA; and his siblings, Charlene Kay of Lawrenceville, GA, Cynthia Moultry (Mac) of Middletown, OH, Arthur Kay (Sandra) of Lebanon, OH, Ronald Kay (Sheila) of New Orleans, LA, William "Sonny" Kay of St. Louis, MO and Daniel Kay (Melody) of Franklin, OH. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
