He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Owen and Lela Cook Riffle; his wife Erma J. Hall Riffle; his children, Donna Riffle, Jennifer Riffle and Kenneth Riffle; his son-in-law Mark Burke; and his siblings, Don, Daniel, Joey, Frank, Jim Riffle, Dorotha Riffle and Sara Spangler.

He is survived by: his children, Candy Burke of Norwood, Alice Finn (Atlas), Kimberly Riffle of Middleport and Danny Riffle (Lisa) of Kendallville; his grandchildren, Brandon Riffle, Erica Kauffman and Chelsea Burke; his great grandchildren, Bailey Riffle, Quincey Riffle, Karlee Kauffman and Addelyn Kauffman; and his brother Dale Riffle of Floridia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
