He is survived by: his wife Marie Schroeder Gilbert; his son Matthew Gilbert; his granddaughters, Kyla and Kaleah; and his siblings, Roger Gilbert (Debbie), David Gilbert, Rhonda Jenks and Gail Davis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
