He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman J. Stokes and Anna Alma Stokes (Wurst); his siblings, Jim, Barry, David Stokes and Mary Ann Schnipke; his brother-in-law Tom Schnipke; and his grandson Alex Dias.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Stokes of Middle Point; his children, Shane Stokes (Krys) of Van Wert, Julie Johns (Matthew) of Elida, Janine Sevitz (Darrin) of Middle Point, Grady Dias (Megan) of White Pigeon, MI and Marla Taylor (Pat) of Middle Point; his grandson Levi Brincefield (Autumn); his children, Shana Brincefield (Ian Poe), Ryan Sevitz, Taylor, Marissa Sheeter, Ella, Emma Klausing, Jessi Friday (Nathan), Ethan Dias and Mason Dias; his great grandchildren, Tobias, Quill, Brooklynn, Abby and Shane; and his sister-in-law Vera Stokes of South Carolina. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
