He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey George Thatcher and Esther Thatcher-McClure (Baker); his stepfather Ray McClure; his wife Delores J. Thatcher (Keysor); his siblings, Kenneth, Carl Thatcher and Betty Foust; and his grandson Joel Ross Thatcher.
He is survived by: his children, Audie L. Thatcher (Sue), Debra M. Nedderman (Lonnie), Brett W. Thatcher (Diana), Bart C. Thatcher (Sondra), Cindy A. Hunsaker (Tim), Valori Y. Dunn (Brian), Tyson J. Thatcher (Lauri) and Stacy J. Thatcher (Brenna); and his siblings, Beatrice Lautzenheiser of Van Wert, Donna Johns (Von Hilliard) of Miamisburg, Ohio, Phillip McClure (Bonnie) of Van Wert, Chris, Lucille and Nancy Mullen. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
Harvey and Delores also created the " Thatcher Family Helping Hands" charity that donates money anonymous to local, state and national causes and organizations that they were passionate about.
