He was predeceased by: his brother Ronald W. Huston; and his parents, John Wesley Huston and Margaret Huston. He is survived by: his wife Janice A. Huston; his children, John P. Huston, Jr. (Kimberly) of Miamitown and Tracy L. Hodges (Tommy) of Cleves; his grandchildren, Jennifer Wittich (Robert), Lisa Hodges, Brandon Sibert (Roxann), Melissa Hodges (Andrew), Megan Sibert (Matthew), Christine Hodges (Andrew), Aaron Huston (Erin) and Kayla Huston; his great grandchildren, Cameron, Colin, Ethan, Drew, Aiden, Thomas, Adrian, Abel, Alexander, Hailey, Gannon and Parker; and his siblings, James G. Huston (Billie) of Cincinnati and Marlene Schube (Frank) of Cincinnati.
