He was predeceased by: his father Richard Church; and his brother James. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Judith Church.

“I remember being a paperboy when Dick ran the Miamisburg news, he was always very friendly to me and my family. He was as everyone knows a wonderful Mayor, Miamisburg was fortunate to have this man. I am sorry to hear of Dicks passing and send my deepest condolences to the Church family and especially Judy whom I have fond memories of as a child she was my favorite nurse at Mound family practice.
