He was predeceased by: his parents, William Johnson and Virginia Johnson (Parrish); his sister Janice Johnson; and his father-in-law Jim Goldie. He is survived by: his wife Sondra Johnson (Lakes); his children, India Mitchell (Aaron), Chelsea Jones (Devon), Christopher Cruz, Mickenzie Johnson and Tyler Johnson; his siblings, William Johnson Jr. (Margaret), Pamela Brooks (Jeffery) and Denice Hewlett (Joseph); his mother-in-law Priscilla Goldie; and his sister-in-law Missi McCollum (Scott). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, father-in-law, Dale (Nancy) Lakes; brothers-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Ohio's Hospice.
