He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Henry and Florine Schmitz; and his sister Patricia "Patti" Dalton. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Schmitz; his children, Sarah Schmitz (Corey Roberts) and Henry Lewis Schmitz II (Ashley); his grandchildren, Atlas and Penelope Schmitz; his siblings, Steve Schmitz (Becky), Roberta "Bobbi" Donaldson (Grant), Jane Schmitz, Joan Wagner and Jean Treon (Todd); his brother-in-law Rick Dalton (Lori); his right-hand-man Aaron Crutcher; his uncle Jerry; and his godchildren, Jeanette, Sean, Aimee and Hannah. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends.
