He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Tobias and Frank Witherspoon; and his brother-in-law Gary Sams. He is survived by: his wife Jeannette; his stepchildren, Kristi Eickman (Doug) and Jay Shores (Mindy); his grandchildren, Kira Eickman, Tyler Shores and Alyssa Shores; and his siblings, Judy Sams, John Witherspoon (Susan) and JoAnne Hartings (Mark). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Affinity Hospice in Dayton or the Alzheimer's Association to support ongoing research and care.
