He is survived by: his wife Jean Evelyn Garland (Bennett); his children, Leslie Garland Ratcliffe and Gary Donald Garland (Linda); his grandchildren, Jennifer Marie Yowler (Scott), David Ratcliffe, Annie Meredith Promer (Tyler) and Emily Meredith Brooks (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Andrew, Elizabeth, Jacob Yowler and Hallie Promer.
