We are sad to announce that on February 21, 2025, at the age of 73, Gene Schoonover of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Gene has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence "Crip" Schoonover and Margaret Schoonover; and his siblings, Jerry Schoonover and JoAnne Hatcher. He is survived by: his wife Lois Ann Schoonover; his daughter Teresa Russell (Donnie); his grandchildren, Taylor and Dylan Russell; and his sister Joyce Steinmetz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Westbrock Funeral Home (5980 Bigger Rd, Kettering, OH 45440). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Westbrock Funeral Home - Bigger Rd (5980 Bigger Rd, Kettering, OH 45440).
