He was predeceased by: his girlfriend Mary Lou; his parents, Jack Heit and Genevieve Heit; his son Robert Heit; and his brothers, Ronald Heit and John Heit.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathleen Mitchell (Brian); his grandchildren, Ethan Mitchell, Allyson Mitchell, Courtney Bickmore (Michael) and Chelsea Tripp (Matt); his daughter-in-law Ellen Heit; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Nora, Hank, Lola and Ricky. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
