She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Ward and Evelyn Ward (Allen); her husband Edward L. "Ed" "Skip" Baker, Jr.; her daughter Susan Ward (Baker); her siblings, Ronald Ward, Enola Downing, Arline Kelly, Sharon Moore, Rhea Smith and Linda Ward; and her siblings-in-law, Michael Baker, Patricia Ward, Dolly Hicks, Lois Baker and Joyce Ward.

She is survived by: her children, Bud Baker (Kim), Tim Baker (Perditta) and Sandy Clark; and her siblings, Darrell Ward, Dennis Ward (MaryBeth) and Mary Lou Daniel. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great grandson on the way, 14 great great grandchildren, fur babies.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Swart Funeral Home (207 E Central Ave, West Carrollton, OH 45449). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery (401 N Miami Ave, West Carrollton, OH 45449).

“We have had the pleasure of living next door to Ed and Diane. They were beautiful people. Diane always looked out for my boys. She even went out to talk to the school bus driver when they wanted them to stand across the street to get the bus which wasn’t safe but Diane spoke up and got that changed. Ed was always the sweetest man to talk to. Always a smile on his face. I miss you both but I know you are together now. My prayers to the family. We are here for you anytime you need anything.”
