He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie A. Hlavacek and Mary Frances Hlavacek (Ondrovick); his brother-in-law Larry Sutherland; his niece Vicki Brown; and also, Jeff Miller and Carol.
He is survived by: his wife Lela M. Newton; his sister Donna Sutherland; his nieces and nephews, Lori Ann Miller, Brittany Small (Jason), Jessica Ratliff (Darren), Scott Brown (Dana), Kevin Brown and Joe Brown (Karen); and his sister-in-law Naydean Creason (Tom).
